Vase-shaped clumps of bright green, bamboo-like leaves that turn shades of copper in fall. Flat, purple-bronze seed-heads similar to sea oats dangle from arching stems in late summer. Missouri native that enjoys moist areas and provides excellent year-round texture. Remove seed-heads in fall to prevent self-seeding; cut back to the ground in late winter.
