Erin Luna of Black Rat Farms is a trained artist and farmer who melds these two passions together through her work with natural dyes and textiles. In this lecture Erin will discuss dye origins and their history along with which dye plants can be grown or foraged here in Missouri. She will share her firsthand experience with growing and foraging on farmland in Hillsboro, Missouri and will have dye plants available for sale after the class so you can create your own dye garden at home. Also check out Erin’s Intro to Natural Dying class offered later in the month.
If a class is sold out and you would like to join the waitlist, please email Holly at events@bowoodfarms.com.
