Multitudes of deep scarlet flowers in upright panicles in late spring among the handsome, five-part leaves. Slowly grows into a dense, rounded mature shape and makes an excellent shade tree. Bred to reduce seedpod production; caution, the nuts are poisonous. Attracts hummingbirds, bees and other pollinators.
