Drooping domed clusters of fragrant, pinkish-purple flowers throughout summer. Stout upright stems with thick, pale green, pink-veined leaves. An excellent choice for a native meadow or large wild garden; spreads both by rhizomes and re-seeding. Missouri native that is one of the principal host milkweeds for Monarch caterpillars in the Midwest. Also attracts bees and other butterflies; deer resistant.
