Floral Peony Portrait

Join artist Emily Choi to create a peony flower portrait in the of Korean folk-art style of Min-hwa. Emily will share the best practices for painting with gouache as well as provide the historical background of this traditional creation. For centuries, in Korean culture, peony flower paintings were often hung up in people’s homes to bring good luck and success in business and careers. In this class, you will create your own peony flower painting to bring home with you or gift to a friend. All supplies are included, and you will leave with your completed paintings on premium watercolor paper.
