Clusters of fuzzy white, finger-like flowers tinged with pink perch atop leafy stems above broader, soft gray-green basal leaves. A dioecious Missouri native found on rocky slopes, prairies and glades that spreads by stolons into a solid leafy mat, the shorter male flowers are pure white. The host plant for American Painted Lady butterfly; deer and rabbit resistant.
