A very dark burgundy heirloom with almost black flames and edges, this extravagant beauty is great for adding shadows or combining with lighter colored flowers. Parrot tulips are distinguished by single flowers with fringed and curled petals that are twisted into feathery, bird-like shapes and are a flower arranger’s dream.
Tulips are colorful and striking, bridging the gap from early spring to summer. They make excellent, long-lasting cut flowers, adding a dramatic flair to any arrangement. With the exception of the Darwin Hybrids and species tulips, most will not bloom in the second year and are often planted as annuals. Combine with Narcissus to protect from investigating squirrels and voles.
