Join artist Mel Mercille of Mabel Handmade in this new broommaking workshop. You will learn the traditional Appalachian style of broommaking using both your hands and feet. Yes, you read that right – hands AND feet! In this workshop, you will create a whisk style broom with a woven handle. All supplies will be included, and you will leave with your completed project. Prior broommaking or weaving experience is encouraged but not required.
Please note, this class requires hand strength as well as bare feet or slip-free socks to complete the project.
