Lustrous, dark green, oval leaves in a slow-growing shrub selected for superior winter color and hardiness. Dense foliage and branching lends itself to multiple shapes, in this case, a narrowly formed cone. Pruning to shape begins after the spring flush of growth, in late May or early June; follow up with a second pruning in September. Deer and rabbit resistant.
