Nested clusters of thick, succulent triangular leaves with spiny edges and pointy tips vary from a frosty blue green to a white-streaked, bright chartreuse. Edible and medicinal, the gel in the leaves has soothing, moisturizing, and cooling properties. A slow-growing but vigorous and long-lived houseplant that is quite carefree and, when mature, easily propagated by removal of offsets.
