Colorful and unusual with astonishingly bright red leaves splashed with deep green, this small, shrubby plant adds verve among the greens of houseplants or terrarium choices. Prefers warmth and consistent moisture; does fine in lower light conditions but color and patterns will be less vibrant. Regularly pinching of growth tips will prevent legginess and preserve a dense compactness. Clip flower stalks to prevent dormancy. Hypoestes phyllostachya
