Immediately recognizable as the white flag of peace, the broadly pointed, paper white spathe surrounds the tiny true flowers of the spadix. Large, glossy, dark green leaves are held individually on tall upright petioles surrounding the tranquil flowers which turn pale green after a couple of weeks but remain lovely for at least another month. Consistent ideal care, especially increased light intensity, will promote blooming; older plants bloom better after division. Reproduces by growing offsets which will happily fill the pot or may be divided and repotted. Toxic to humans and pets when ingested. Spathiphyllum wallisii
