Tall, stiffly upright fronds arise from a low cluster of stems that develop into a thick, tan-colored trunk. Madagascar native that slowly grows into a very large specimen with the elegant, vase-shaped form of a palm prototype. Somewhat challenging, but will thrive in bright, indirect light, high humidity and with consistently moist soil. Must be wintered indoors. Ravenea rivularis
