A very slow-growing dwarf selection with short branches densely loaded with rich green leaves. The Japanese name translates to "Male Lion's Head" and in fall the foliage turns burnt orange gold in the fall like the manes of many tiny lions. With excellent heat tolerance, this compact tree is a wonderful choice for bonsai or container plantings.
