Smooth, softly striped bright green leaves have thorny edges and a contrasting underside of chocolate brown with silver stripes. A spray of dark red bracts shoots up from the middle that branch into red and yellow striped spikes makes this Bullis hybrid an exotic choice. Easy to care for in well-drained medium; central vase must be kept full and the water replaced periodically. After blooming the plant will produce a pup or offshoot which, with patience, will mature to a flowering plant in one to three years. With gradual exposure can take higher light; sensitive to cold temperatures. Hybrid with possible A. chantinii and A. tessmannii parentage
