Lustrous, dark green, oval leaves in a slow-growing shrub selected for superior winter color and hardiness. Dense foliage and branching is perfect for formal planting or informal hedges, requiring little pruning to maintain its naturally conical shape. Pruning to shape begins after the spring flush of growth, in late May or early June; follow up with a second pruning in September. Deer and rabbit resistant.
