We will be closed for Easter on Sunday, April 20th.

Batik Wax-Resist Dyeing

2 – 4 PM
Taught by Holly Rogers

Batik is a traditional dye method using melted wax, tools, and objects to make patterns on fabric. The hardened wax resists dye and when washed out, leaves only your visible design behind. In this class, Holly Rogers will instruct students how to use hot soy wax to create a patterned design on a large cotton bandana and then dye it with the color of their choice. All supplies are included, and everyone will leave with a wearable piece of art.

If a class is sold out and you would like to join the waitlist, please email us at events@bowoodfarms.com
