Join artist Mel Mercille of Mabel Handmade in this new broommaking workshop. In this workshop you will learn the traditional Appalachian style of broommaking using both your hands and feet. Yes, you read that right – hands AND feet! You will create a turkey wing which refers to the shape of the handbroom, which is woven using nylon cord. All supplies will be provided, and you will leave with your completed project. This class is great for all skill levels but please note, this class requires hand strength as well as bare feet or slip-free socks to complete the project.
