Join writer, artist and former art director for Mary Engelbreit’s Home Companion Marcella Hawley of marcellahawley.com for an afternoon of coloring for calm. In this class, students will explore the basics of creating depth and unique color combinations through shadowing and cross-hatching on a provided illustration. Marcella will guide students through practice exercises and share her tips for finding success with watercolor pencils. Surrounded by inspiration and smells of holiday abundance and fruitiness, students will explore how coloring relieves stress as the lines of the original image disappear and your new creation emerges. All supplies are provided.
