Pale, yellow-green foliage darkens to a glossy green in summer, then turns yellow-orange to red in fall. Elegant and naturally dwarf with layered, close branching and small internodes that cause the long leaves to overlap tightly, giving an overall shingle-like appearance. Rare and slow-growing, an excellent bonsai choice.
