Vase-shaped clumps of bright green, bamboo-like leaves that turn reddish-tan in winter. Flat, green seed-heads similar to sea oats dangle from arching stems in late summer, deepening to a coppery pink in fall. Missouri native that enjoys moist areas and provides excellent year-round texture. Remove seed-heads in fall to prevent self-seeding; cut back to the ground in late winter.
