Large clumps of big, broad, dark green, aromatic leaves with great flavor and high levels of vitamins and minerals. Favorite of cooks for its large leaves, but harvest entire stems to help prolong herb production throughout summer into fall. Usually grown as an annual as second-year foliage loses much of its potency. Larval plant for swallowtail butterflies.
