Starting your garden from seed is not only an economical and sustainable choice, it’s also a fascinating and rewarding activity. In this class Kathie will discuss how to decipher a seed packet’s information and estimate your sowing timeline and transplant quantities. She will share which supplies are necessary to successfully start vegetable, herb, and annual seeds indoors. Participants will learn various germination techniques and apply them to start four different varieties of seed: Basil, Butterfly Milkweed, Kale and Sweet Peas. You will take home your four 6-packs of seedlings to continue growing in your home and eventually plant out in the garden.
